Calligraphy Practice Day 1: Mother’s Day Cards

Calligraphy Practice Day 1: Mother's Day Cards

Hello there,

My calling has been itching. You know when you always have a person you love stuck in your brain and heart and whatever you do in the day, that person is always in the back of your mind. You may be busy at one moment in time, but when your mind rests, it rests on thinking about that person. Call it love, call it day-dreaming, call it fine wine, call it lust. Whatever that is with a person, I have with it with Calligraphy.

To celebrate Mother’s Day this weekend, I’ve joined a Meetup.com group with a lovely lady who also enjoys Calligraphy to organize the meetups in San Francisco. The group is called San Francisco Modern Calligraphy and the first meeting I hosted on my own flopped. The one person who said they were attending cancelled last minute, but oh don’t you worry, I didn’t give up hope. I would do it on my own so if there are people who want to join me that would be a plus.

Anyway, today is practice day one. I want to set a personal goal to practice 2-3 times a week and post on this blog to see my progress!

Happy Mother’s Day

Currently, I’m living, traveling and exploring San Francisco at the moment and it’s just a wonderful city to live in. It’s weird, it’s surrounded by water, rolling hills and rolling fog. This city by the Bay is just absolutely beautiful and I’ll be here for a while.

Sincerely,

Dandelion Traveler

  1. So sweet! I am planning to sit down tonight or tomorrow to write something for my mum as well.

    Cheers from Singapore!
