When you think the winter is over in Sweden, you’re thinking too soon. It’s February 10th and I feel so good coming back from a one hour body pump class and a one hour boxing class (RAWWWRRRRR). Today was a winter wonderland. It snowed all night and all day and when I woke up, everything was covered in snow again! I was walking to the gym I can see the trail marks from people who’ve been walking along following each other’s footsteps, but me…I’m geared up with my brown rainboots. To give you an image of my boot, it’s like I work on a farm or I catch tadpoles in swamps in Florida, but with a big white puffy jacket and a big scarf. I bought it for 250 krons when it was suppose to be 699 krons. One size of the shoe is bigger than the other and the store decided to stick in the corner where I can find it. Whoo hoo, go shoes. Anyway, back to the fantasty magical wonderland, I don’t follow the foot steps, I jump into the smooth sand-like snow and the snow is about 1 foot deep. When snow comes like this, the trains are delayed, the buses can’t go to certain stops, people are pushing cars, trucks are shoveling snow and the Christmas trees are standing catching every snowflake making it look like a magical tree. My bus back to Björnkulla stopped at the second to last stop, so I had to walk up the Björnkulla hill all the way to my room in the forest. There are hills and rocks lying under these trees and as I’m walking I can’t help to stop and speak my thoughts out loud. “Wow!! This is so beautiful.”
