Trip back to California. Ohhhh Yeaaa Babehhh

I landed in San Francisco Airport and the sky welcomed me with the California sun and breeze. Breath in…and breath out. It’s so nice to see palm tress again (even though they are not that special). After my 15 hour journey from Stockholm, I needed the nice atmosphere of the Bay Area. My sister picked me up and I went to China Town. First things first, Chinese foooooooooooooooooood. MmMMMm. I shared details and feelings from my most recent trip to Ireland and England, which was really just two days ago, with Mui Mui and I’ve never felt more at home. I am able to speak my thoughts and I feel less confined in my space when I’m in California. The freeway, Highway 101 and back to the exit I call home. San Jose hasn’t changed one bit. It’s like I never left. The exit to 237 South towards Mountain View to my aunt’s house was exiting. I surprised my family and my favorite nieces and nephews. I got to see my godson who was only one month old when I left, now 3 months and heavy as a boulder but cute as a button bear. My cousins were happy that I was back and it felt so nice to see familiar faces,

I went home at around 9 PM and my mom was sleeping and she doesn’t know that I’m home.

“Walk in the room and tell her that you brought a friend.” I told my sister as we both were walking down the hallway to my mom’s room.

“Mommy, I brought a friend and she wants to say hi.” My sister moved aside to let my mom see me and she turned on the lights and in her sleepy, raspy tone, she said hi.

The lights are turned on.

“Hello, welcome, hello.” As my mom was covered in her cozy blankets with her eyes drowsy and half way open. She waved at me and just kept waving until she finally realized it was me. Her eyes widened and shouted a Chinese phrase.

“Eyyyyyyyyyyyyeee!”

I already assumed that she would be surprised but she would then question why I spent so much money to come home.

During the six days I was in California, a series of events happened. Mostly eating and celebrating.
I went to eat La Vics in Downtown, San Jose. I ate Pho with Sylvie, went to Target, went to O’flats with Sylvie and Adriana and AIESECers, hung out with Christina Patron for the whole day =), visted Lisa and Irene, went to two dentists appointments which one of them resulted in the removal of my last wisdom tooth, had vegetartian lunch with Helen, Sally and little Hailey, went to a wedding (Yvonne’s wedding where I ate at the same Chinese restaurant for three days in a row), met a handsome doctor and listened to many doctor stories, danced with a handsome doctor, took many pictures with my cousins, danced with my family at this American style wedding, and lastly, said goodbye once again.

However, it just felt like everything was the same as I left it two months ago and it was time to go back home to Sweden. I like being alone and figuring out things on my own.

The result of going back to San jose made me realize that I’m not ready to go back home and if I feel the same way after I come back in July or August then it might be a problem because I can’t seem to stay in once place. Ahhh, it’s not a problem. I missed 2 classes and my re-exam for the Swedish course. It’s not a problem. Simple things I can fix. I had to write essays and on top of that I have to write four extra pages for my absense. It was completely worth it to come back to San Jose.

<———I’m hearing Frech men beside me in the cafe and it’s like sugar to the ears. Their looks are easy on the eyes as well. =) Okay time to stop being creepy.
